Children’s Programs (Lumi, VBS)
PPE Kids’ Children’s Programs are designed to teach age-appropriate safety skills directly to children—without fear, shame, or explicit content.
These programs complement our adult training by helping children:
-
Understand personal boundaries
-
Recognize unsafe behavior
-
Know when and how to ask for help
-
Identify safe adults
All children’s content is developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and prevention-focused.
Lumi (Ages 3–7)
Lumi is our animated character and early-childhood safety program.
Through short videos, songs, and stories, Lumi introduces simple safety
concepts—such as body autonomy, safe vs. unsafe secrets, and trusted adults
—in a way young children can understand and remember.
Lumi is designed for use:
-
At home with parents
-
In churches and Sunday school
-
In classrooms and childcare settings
Vacation Bible School (VBS) & Group Curriculum
Our VBS-style and group curricula use the same prevention principles as Lumi but are structured for classroom, church, and group environments. These programs provide:
-
Multi-day lesson plans
-
Facilitator guides
-
Activities and discussion prompts
-
Parent and caregiver take-home tools
They help organizations reinforce consistent safety rules while clearly communicating:
“If anything ever feels wrong, come to us.”
How This Fits with PPE Kids’ Mission
Children’s Programs do not replace adult responsibility. Instead, they:
-
Reinforce protective environments
-
Support disclosure
-
Reduce isolation and secrecy
-
Align children and adults around the same safety language
Prevention works best when adults are trained and children are empowered—and that’s exactly what these programs are built to do.
