Child Protection Policies

Predators thrive in ambiguity. Our policy library replaces “grey areas” with bright lines everyone can see, follow and be held to.

The PPE Kids Child Protection Policy library is the written backbone of the 4 Pillars of Protection. It covers how adults are screened and trained, how children are supervised, how buildings are set up for visibility, how concerns are reported, and how an organization proves it’s following through.

Partner organizations don’t write these from scratch. We adapt the library to your setting, train your people on it, and review it with you over time. Policies come in three tiers, so every organization gets the protections it needs without paperwork it doesn’t.

Core

The non-negotiable foundation every partner adopts, across all four pillars: screening every adult before they have access to children, verified training, clear rules for how adults and children interact, and a reliable way to report and log concerns.

Core policies remove the “grey areas” predators depend on. Everyone, from the senior leader to the newest volunteer, follows the same bright lines and knows exactly what to do when something doesn’t look right.

They also build in accountability: regular check-ins and audits that show the policies are lived out week after week, not just written down.

Activity-based

Some programs carry higher risk because of where and how they happen. These policies switch on only when your organization runs those activities, such as transportation, overnight events, water activities, or trips away from your usual location.

They add the extra planning, supervision and parent communication those settings call for, so a field trip or retreat is as safe as a Sunday morning or a school day.

Built in

These protections apply automatically through how PPE Kids delivers your program. They cover things like protecting personal information, keeping records secure, and making sure leadership and the board stay informed about child safety.

You don’t have to adopt or manage them separately; they come with the partnership.

Policies are where safety starts, not where it ends. A binder on a shelf protects no one. PPE Kids pairs every policy with training, screening and ongoing accountability so the rules are lived, not just written. Book a free call to see how the library fits your organization.

Full policies are provided to partner organizations and do not replace your federal, state, local, licensing or mandatory-reporting obligations.
