Our mission

PPE Kids exists to prevent child sexual abuse by equipping churches, schools, families and child-serving organizations with practical training, protective systems and clear guidance, because every child deserves to be safe.

We believe prevention is possible when adults are informed, environments are strengthened, and children are surrounded by safe, accountable communities. Our work focuses on early intervention, education, and systems that reduce risk before harm occurs.

Our vision

We envision a world where:

  • Children are protected, believed and valued
  • Adults understand how abuse occurs and how to interrupt it
  • Churches and organizations have strong, lived-out child protection practices
  • Silence, secrecy and fear no longer protect offenders

Our vision is not reactive. It is preventative, rooted in truth, accountability and care.

Taking the mission worldwide: the GCSN

At PPE Kids, we believe every child deserves a secure, compassionate environment, no matter where they live. Child protection is a universal calling, but the people doing this work every day know that what works in one community doesn’t always translate to another.

Laws differ.
Cultures differ.
Resources differ.

The challenges are shared; the solutions have to be local, and the people closest to the problem are usually the ones who see the answer first. That’s why the GCSN exists.

What the GCSN is

The GCSN is a working network of child protection professionals from around the world: people actively doing this work in their own communities, coming together to share what’s working, name what isn’t, and think through the hardest problems together. No one on this council has it all figured out, including us. We learn as much from our members as they learn from each other, and we think that’s exactly how it should work.

This isn’t a conference that happens once a year. It’s an ongoing relationship built on mutual accountability. So that geography and language are never a barrier, the GCSN runs on tools like Google Meet and real-time translation. A member anywhere in the world can bring a hard problem to colleagues anywhere else and get real, honest input: not a verdict, but a second set of eyes from someone who’s faced something similar.

A growing global network

Every member joined this table imperfect, the same way every organization on it is still learning. That’s not a weakness we tolerate; it’s the starting point we build from together.

The Four Pillars

The reasoning behind our framework, so you can adapt it to your context.

A knowledge relationship, not a financial one. Membership doesn’t involve funding in either direction, and PPE Kids never asks members for payment or reimbursement. It’s a place to be coached, to coach others, and to strengthen your own child protection practice alongside people who are doing this work too.

For those ready to go further

For some members, the GCSN is exactly the right level of involvement. Others eventually want to build something more: a dedicated, independent child protection organization in their own community, carrying PPE Kids’ framework and standards forward. That’s a bigger commitment, with its own funding and governance responsibilities.
