A Mother’s Intuition: God’s Whisper in a Mother’s Heart

This Mother’s Day, while we celebrate the sleepless nights, the warm hugs, the packed lunches, and the unconditional love of mothers everywhere, we also want to take a moment to honor something deeper—something sacred. It’s that quiet inner voice many mothers know well. That sudden unease. That stirring in the spirit that says, something isn’t right. That, dear mothers, is intuition—and it’s a divine gift from God.

A mother’s intuition is not superstition, fear, or overreaction. It’s discernment. It’s wisdom that doesn't always come with evidence, but almost always proves to be right. It’s a supernatural sense of protection, a whisper from the Holy Spirit that says: Pay attention. Watch closely. Ask more questions.

At PPE Kids, we often say, "You don’t need to prove something is wrong before you protect your child." And moms, that begins with trusting your gut. If a babysitter makes you uncomfortable, you don’t need a reason to choose someone else. If your child comes home quieter than usual after practice, ask the hard questions. If something doesn’t feel right at church, school, or even around trusted friends or family—lean in. Not away.

God designed mothers with a fierce instinct to protect. It’s the same spirit that led Moses’ mother to hide him. The same spirit that stood at the foot of the cross. And today, it’s the same spirit that nudges you when something is off—even if you can’t explain why.

So, this Mother’s Day, we want to remind every mom: your intuition is not just valid—it’s vital. It’s not paranoia—it’s perception. It’s not fear—it’s faith in action.

You are your child’s first line of defense. You are their guardian, their voice, and sometimes, their shield from harm they can’t even see. Don’t silence that inner alarm. Don’t second guess what God has hardwired into your soul. Lean into it. Pray through it. And when necessary, act boldly because of it.

To every mother reading this: thank you. Thank you for listening to your gut, for asking hard questions, for being "that mom" when it matters most. That quiet nudge might just be God speaking directly to you—so don’t ignore it.

Happy Mother’s Day. You are seen. You are strong. And you are Spirit-led.
