The Church Doesn’t Care Enough to Change – And That’s the Problem

Updated: Mar 10, 2025

You know the truth. You’ve seen the reports. You’ve heard the stories. And still, most churches won’t change.

Why?

Because it’s easier not to.

Change means:

  • Owning past failures.

  • Holding leaders accountable.

  • Admitting the institution is flawed.

  • Reforming from the inside out.

And frankly, too many pastors and church boards don’t want to rock the boat.

But here’s the reality: The boat is already sinking.

Acts 1:8 tells us that the church was never meant to be a stagnant, self-serving club. It was meant to go into all the world, making disciples, healing the broken, setting captives free.

But that requires change. And if the church refuses, don’t be surprised when the world stops caring about it altogether.
